CHOCOLATE Pill For Dementia

Who stole my medication? - LASUTH patients ask

According to reports, Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) patients are lamenting that drugs purchased for their treatment are being stolen and resold by medical personnel and are calling on the hospital's management to come to their rescue.
The patients are accusing nurses of being perpetrators of the crime; saying the nurses have turned to drug vendors, selling the stolen drugs at a cheaper rate to other patients. They said because patients’ names are not written against the drugs, it makes it easier for the nurses to steal them.

Woman survives 6 days without lungs after 13hr surgery

A Canadian woman has survived six days with no lungs thanks to pioneering surgery and state-of-the-art technology that successfully oxygenated and circulated her blood after both her lungs were removed simultaneously.
Doctors at Toronto General Hospital made the life-saving call with just hours to spare as Melissa Benoit, who suffers from Cystic Fibrosis, had contracted a serious, antibiotic-resistant lung infection back in April 2016.

Polio vaccine rejected in Jos over hunger issues

🔵Some communities in Jos North Local Government of Plateau state, have refused to participate in the on-going immunisation exercise against polio, citing hunger as their reason.
🔵“The communities have shunned entreaties by the immunisation officers; they say the vaccine should be replaced with food,” Mrs Hannatu Davat, the Local Immunisation Officer, told newsmen in Jos on Monday.
🔵The immunisation exercise, which began on Jan. 28, is co-sponsored by the local government in collaboration with the World Health Organisation, UNICEF and the Nigerian Rotary Club.

Dr. Josef Mengele, born 16 March 1911 was a German officer and physician in Auschwitz concentration camp during World War II.
Mengele was a notorious member of the team of doctors responsible for the selection of victims to be killed in the gas chambers and for performing deadly human experiments on prisoners.
Victims were put into pressure chambers, tested with drugs, castrated, frozen to death. Children were exposed to experimental surgeries performed without anesthesia, transfusions of blood from one to another, isolation endurance, reaction to various stimuli. The doctors made injections with lethal germs, sex change operations, removal of organs and limbs.
