Bacterial vaginosis

#Justbecauseitsfriday Let's talk about Bacterial vaginosis....the cause of the popular fishy smell down there.
.
BV is a common condition of the vagina caused by an overgrowth of various germs (bacteria).
.
🏨N.B It is not a sexually transmitted disease, so there's no need to be ashamed of it.

.
In fact, BV is not caused by poor hygiene. Rather, excessive washing of the vagina (douching) may alter the normal balance of bacteria in the vagina, which may make BV more likely to develop.
.
To prevent BV and its fishy smell, avoid douching and see a doctor if there's any smell in your nether regionsπŸ‘.
.
Medics in the house, please let's hear your corrections or additions to the postπŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡. Thank you πŸ‘
