Janet Jackson Denies Throat Cancer Rumours

Janet Jackson has taken to social media to put an end to speculations surrounding her health after she was forced to postpone tour dates last month.

"Remember... believe it when you hear it from my lips," she wrote. "The rumours are untrue. I do not have cancer."

She continued: "My doctors have approved my concerts as scheduled in Europe, and as I promised, the postponed shows will be rescheduled."

Janet raised speculations about her health when she postponed her Unbreakable Tour in December - making the announcement on her Instagram account.

Writing on her official account at the time, she said: “Hey you guys… Happy Holidays to each and every one of you. I need you to know, I learned today, from my doctors that I must have surgery soon.

"It breaks my heart to tell you that I am forced to postpone the Unbreakable Tour until the spring. Every date will be rescheduled."

"Please pray for me, my family and our entire company during this difficult time. There will be no further comment.

"I love you all so much and am ever grateful for your understanding and your love. Gon' b alright."

So if Janet does/did not have throat cancer, what exactly did she need throat surgery for knowing fully well that throat surgery is performed only in cases of persistent sore throat, suspicion of cancer or chronic tonsillitis.

My bet is on persistent sore throat, if she truly never had cancer.
