Bird Flu In Plateau State

The Plateau State Commissioner for Agriculture, Mrs. Linda Barau, has confirmed the outbreak of bird flu in the state.

She revealed that four farms were affected and thousands of birds isolated. Farmers in the state have also been advised to put measures in place to avoid the spread of the disease.

The commissioner said the state’s department of veterinary services will liaise with farmers, although there is no need to panic.
