Nigerian Nurses Hold Inaugural Summit

Nurses in Nigeria under the aegis of the Nigerian Universities Nursing Students Association (NUNSA), National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), West African Nursing Students Association (WANSA) and National Association of Nigerian Students Nurses and Midwives (NANSNM) will on Monday, 14th through Sunday, 20th December, 2015 hold an Inaugural nursing leadership summit and joint students convention in Abuja.

The summit is tagged "Nursing in Nigeria: Rethinking the missing link," and issues bordering on exploration of the most pressing issues within the nursing profession as it relates to the quality of health care available to Nigerians will be the subject of the summit.

The National President of the Nigerian Universities Nursing Students’ Association (NUNSA), Toba Odumosu said, the President of International Council of Nurses (ICN), Dr. Judith Shamian will be visiting Nigeria for the first time because of the programme.

Other guests expected at the event are the Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole and other Federal Government Officials.
