Ondo Trauma Centre Now Approved for Radiology, Anaesthesia Residency Training

ONDO State Trauma Centre has been accredited for Post Graduate Residency Training in Radiology and Anaesthesia by the West African College of Surgeons (WACS) and National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN)

The accreditation panel was led by the Chairman, Faculty of Anaesthesia WACS, Professor Stella Eguma and the Chairman, Faculty of Radiology (NPMCN), Professor Adeyinka Abiodun.

According to Prof. Abiodun, while briefing Governor Olusegun Mimiko on the Faculty of Radiology, the team was overwhelmed with the level of transformation in the medical village, particularly the trauma centre.

The chairman of WACS, Prof. Eguma, said Mimiko's giant strides in the health sector was laudable and promised the college's partnership with the state government in improving the achievements on ground.

This is great news for doctors who intend to specialize in these fields--more residency positions to fill!
