Join the fun with #YearsAhead on Instagram and Twitter

The World Health Organization has started a campaign #YearsAhead  to change how we perceive old age.

The idea is to share pictures with the hashtag #YearsAhead so people can see how fun old age can be.

Like Helmut Wirz, we can participate in extreme sports at older ages. Yet negative attitudes about ageing and older people seriously limit older adults’ opportunities.

You too can help change how ageing and older age are perceived.

Here’s how: Post a photo of yourself, or of someone you know (if they give permission) embracing older age or challenging common misconceptions about ageing, on Instagram or Twitter, using the hashtag #YearsAhead.

The WHO will be posting their favourites on the @WorldHealthOrganization Instagram account regularly up until the end of 2015.
