Charlie Sheen is HIV-positive, according to several reliable news outlets. He was diagnosed with the disease more than two years ago.

He is said to have taken HIV medications and had a series of blood tests, and over time, the virus became "undetectable" in his system.

However, it is known that once someone has HIV, they have it for life, at least until medicine advances.

The Two and a Half Men and Anger Management star — who has been open about his struggles with substance abuse and previously admitted to soliciting prostitutes and “call girls” in the past — has yet to comment on the situation himself.

Charlie is known for his playboy image and he's said to have slept with several women after his diagnosis.

Meanwhile, one of his numerous ex-girlfriends, Natalie Kenly is defending him. She said, "He's a good man and I feel very fortunate to have spent the time with him that I did, and I'm so sad to hear of his health troubles, I hope he's okay."

Charlie plans to make a "personal announcement" tomorrow, Nov. 17 on the Today Show.

More details after his interview.
