A three-man elections petitions tribunal in Rivers state has nullified the election of Governor Nyesom Wike and ordered fresh elections to take place in 90 days.
The team led by Justice Ambusa said the election conducted on April 11 2015 which brought Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to power was substantially flawed as it was marred by violence.
The petition challenging the election of Mr. Wike as Rivers State Governor was filed by Dakuku Peterside, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.
Hmmm....this may mark the beginning of the end of Wike, and I can bet my last penny that the former Governor of Rivers state and Wike's arch-enemy, Rotimi Amaechi is somewhere sipping on some fine champagne in celebration of Wike's travails.
This definitely puts a lid on his probe of Amaechi. Hint- Sometimes you just need to quit while you're ahead.
