#RedFlag- Kim Kardashian produced documentary on mental illness
"I am blessed to be surrounded by family and friends that are loving and nurturing,” Kardashian said, “but not everyone has that kind of support. 25 percent of adults in America will suffer from a mental illness in their lifetime, and many of them turn to social media to vent their depression, loneliness, and isolation.”
The documentary shines a light on the stories of two young people suffering from mental illness, as both used social media to voice their pain. It will premiere in May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month.
The aim of mental health awareness month is to sensitize people on seeking help early for mental issues before it becomes severe which takes a longer time to recover from.
With her huge social media platform, this will definitely be a hit.
