Guinea: 9 fresh cases of Ebola

At least  9 new cases of Ebola have been confirmed in a Guinean community close to the border with Sierra-Leone.

"We have been able to find nine sick people (with Ebola) hiding in Forecariah," said Sakoba Keita, National coordinator for the fight against Ebola in a news conference. "That discovery will allow us at least to stop the development of new chains of infection."

In its latest weekly report on Wednesday, the WHO said a total of 37 confirmed cases had been reported in week to April 12, up from 30 the previous week:  28 were recorded in Guinea, nine in Sierra Leone and none in Liberia.
