AT&T President Fired Over Racist Meme

One of AT&T's presidents, Aaron Slator has been fired following a company investigation into claims he sent a racist meme to a friend ...via text.
The images at issue were found in Slator's possession when he asked an assistant to transfer data from an old phone to a new one, the lawsuit said.

One of the images depicted an African child dancing with the racist caption "It's Friday N----s."

On Monday, Knoyme King, a 50-year-old black woman who worked for Slator, filed a suit in Los Angeles Superior Court against Slator, the company and its CEO, Randall Stephenson.

According to the lawsuit, Slator once sent the image in a text describing it as "an oldie but a goodie."

The lawsuit also claims, King, an African American, was passed over for promotions and given unfair pay because of her race and age.

Racism is always a sensitive topic and the sack of Aaron Slator proves there is some truth to Mrs King's accusations.

Still the meme is funny and it appears the only problem here is - a white man used it. That's my opinion anyway.
