Foods That Improve Memory

Healthy eating can stave off diseases like diabetes and hypertension but that's not all. Healthy food contain antioxidants, vitamins, omega-3 fatty acids and other nutrients like nitrates which protect brain cells and improve  memory. 

Some of these food are: 
  • Fish- salmon, tuna, mackerel
  • Dark green leafy vegetables - e.g spinach, broccoli, kale
  • Avocado
  • Peanuts and peanut butter
  • Chewing gum- helps to focus on tasks that require continuous monitoring over a longer amount of time.
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Berries
  • Grapes
  • Curry
  • Beets
  • Coffee
  • Chocolate
  • Whole grains

Experts also stress that exercise is an important part of improving memory.
